When a piece of equipment is installed by Gasbarre, our top priority of to ensure it runs for the long-haul!  Everyone in the organization knows this and lives by it.  Every machine in any operation is due to “go ‘down” at some point.  You have to make sure that you choose the right company with the right service mentality to trust with this long-term acquisition.  Recently, Gasbarre’s Press Service Department was alerted of a PRESS DOWN situation.  The specific press was installed in 2012, a THX550-2-3 (two uppers/three lowers) and is one of our customer’s most important presses.

After a diagnostic phone call with our customer, we determined that the main pump motor had failed.  Gasbarre had the team on-site the next day to remove the pump for evaluation and repair.  Our team worked effectively to remove the pump by 3pm.  At that point, our trusted partner Ludwig Electric was ready to pick up the motor and they were on the road by 5pm that same day!  Ludwig Electric had the motor repaired and back to Gasbarre within three days, what service!  Then our crew was on-site again for installation and testing.  For most OEM’s, when a critical component like this fails, it could take weeks to diagnose, dispatch a team on-site, repair, and complete the mission.  For Gasbarre, it is who we are.  We were established and have flourished because of our service.  In this instance, our customer was down for only 7 days, which will allow them to continue to serve their valued customers.
